Plan packaging for a men’s jewelry collection around the actual pieces and how they are presented. A ring, chain or cufflink pair can need a different position and interior; a gender label does not define the box specification.
List the pieces and their presentation
Record dimensions and decide whether each item is shown alone or with another piece. Check where a chain lies, how paired accessories are presented and how the user reaches the jewelry.

Specify the interior by function
Describe the position or support required before selecting the interior. Do not assume that a familiar exterior includes a particular lining, insert or closure. Review the proposed configuration with the intended jewelry.

Develop a consistent range
Where several formats belong to one collection, coordinate the visual identity while allowing each format to fit its item. Artwork placement may need adjustment as proportions change.
Review the complete use case
Check presentation, removal and packing for the intended sales channel. Personalization, additional information features and environmental requirements need their own specification; they are not automatic features of jewelry packaging.
