For a white hollow box design, check what the openings reveal, what remains covered and how the item looks from the intended viewing angle. The name of the design does not establish its construction or protective performance.
Define what should be visible
Decide whether the viewer should see the item, an inner surface or only a decorative opening. Compare the proposed opening with the actual jewelry in place. A cutout that works from directly above may produce a different view from a shelf.
Review the edge and background
Check the opening edge, the adjacent white surface and the background behind the item on a sample. Specify the desired appearance and finish separately; the word hollow does not confirm a transparent window, open panel or particular material.
Check access separately
Viewing the contents and reaching them are different requirements. Open and close the sample, remove the jewelry and check the available finger space. Confirm the chosen insert and closure without assuming a standard configuration.
Keep the brief focused
Record the viewing direction, area to reveal, position of the item and relevant artwork. Shelf dimensions, stacking and transport need their own checks; they are not benefits established by a decorative opening.
